Step 1: Always choose a CQI IRCA ATP Institute

Step 2: Be present in all the classes

To become a certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, it is not enough to only enroll in the course. It is very necessary to attend all the sessions. You will not be able to take the lead auditor examination if you skip any of the classes. All of this is done in accordance with IRCA policies and procedures. So, as much as it is within your control, do not skip any lessons so that you will be eligible to write the final exam.

Step 3: Complete the required examinations

Pass the continuous assessment by participating in-class activities and summative assessment i.e., the final examination.

Step 4: Receive a Certificate of Achievement

There are two categories of certificates issued to participants:
1. A Certificate of Achievement
2. A Certificate of Attendance

Certificate of Achievement: This is awarded to candidates who successfully complete 40 hours of training and pass the final examination. This certificate meets the IRCA Auditor Certification Scheme’s formal training requirements.

Certificate of Attendance: This is a provisional certificate awarded to candidates who did not pass the final examination on the first attempt. This certificate doesn’t meet the IRCA Auditor Certification Scheme’s formal training requirements. You can retake the examination to ensure that you pass and receive a Certificate of Achievement. 

Step 5: Acquire auditing experience

Once you have completed the training for ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, start your auditing experience and maintain the record in the audit log.

NOTE: Audits conducted prior to the ISO 45001 Lead Auditor training will not be considered.

Step 6: Register for the IRCA Grade Membership

Determine which grade is applicable to you before applying for membership. The Chartered Quality Institute and the International Register of Certificated Auditors award five levels of IRCA Grade Membership: Associate Auditor, Internal Auditor, Auditor, Lead Auditor, and Principal Auditor (CQI IRCA). Step 7: Become a certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

Once you acquire the IRCA Lead Auditor grade membership, you become a certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
