If you are not aware of these rules, you need to be as violations of a security protocol may result in the termination of your exam through notification to your test sponsor.
In this article, we have provided useful information that you need to know before, during, and after taking your CMQ or any ASQ Exam at the Prometric Centre.
ASQ Six Sigma Exam Prometric Centre:
Prometric is a U.S based company in the test administration industry. Prometric operates over a thousand testing centers in more than 150+ countries. The ASQ Six Sigma Prometric Centers are testing locations in various countries where candidates can take the ASQ Six Sigma examination.
If you are a candidate who would rather write their exam at the testing center than at home, then the ASQ Six Sigma Exam Prometric center nearest to you is the best option.
Before ASQ Six Sigma Exam at the Prometric Centre:
1. Arrive at the Prometric Centre early as late arrival can make you ineligible to write the exam, thus forfeiting your fees.
Note: If you are unable to arrive at the designated exam site or testing center because of inclement weather, natural disasters, and unforeseen emergencies beyond your control, you will be permitted to write the next available exam without charges.
If you are registered for a computer-based test, Prometric staff will contact you for exam rescheduling.
If the exam date changes from the administering body, you will be informed of the new date and rescheduled without charges.
2. Candidate Identification Verification:

- Present your Appointment Letter containing the Six Sigma Exam Confirmation Number. This is the number that was issued to you by Prometric after you have successfully scheduled your CMQ exam. It has 16 digits. Eg. 0000000095212045.
- Present valid IDs (unexpired) – Valid government ID card with candidate’s signature

- Driver’s license or passport
- National ID
- Military ID

- Secondary ID – The following are acceptable forms of secondary identification

- Valid employee ID
- Valid credit card with signature
- Valid bank (ATM) card

- Limit the items you bring to the testing center; keep your personal belongings in your designated locker.
- There will be an inspection for eyeglasses, jewelry, and other accessories to ensure whether or not anything may lead to cheating. It will be done at the check-in and again upon return from breaks before you begin or resume testing to make sure no security protocols are violated.
- Please do not wear any other jewelry apart from wedding rings, or engagement rings.
- Please refrain from using ornate clips, combs, barrettes, headbands, tie clips, cufflinks, or any other hair accessories.

Inspection of reference Materials:
Before you enter the exam room in the Prometric center, the Test Center Administrator (TCA) will inspect all references for the Six Sigma Certification Examination.

- All reference materials, including all forms of notes, must be bound and remain bound during the exam.
- Materials must be stitched, glued, or fastened securely in its cover by fasteners, which penetrate all papers like ring binders, spiral binders, plastic snap binders, brads, or screw posts).
- Manual or hand stapled documents that are not securely fastened in their covers are not allowed.
- “Post-Its” will be permitted as book tabs only (must be attached prior to entering the test center).

Items Strictly Prohibited at the Six Sigma Prometric Centre:
In the exam area, the following items are strictly prohibited and can lead to serious sanctioning!

- Hand stapled materials;
- Blank writing tablets or tablets containing blank pages;
- Unbound tablets;
- Unbound notes;
- Slide charts;
- Hand-held cardboard;
- Plastic calculating devices with rotating or sliding pieces;
1. Collections of questions and answers or weekly refresher-course quizzes are not permitted.
2. Remove all questions from your Six Sigma Reference sources.
3. Calculator Policy:

- All computer-based exams feature a basic scientific calculator on-screen in the exam.
- Prometric Test Center Administrators can provide you with a hand-held basic calculator upon request.
- Any silent, hand-held, battery-operated calculator with no programmable memory will be permitted.
- Calculators such as the Texas Instruments TI-89 or similar are absolutely not allowed because they are programmable. Programmable calculators tend to have graphing capabilities, the ability to store text/alphanumeric data by the input of the user, and a function (fn, F1, F2, etc.) button.
- The examination is written so that a simple calculator will be sufficient to perform all calculations.
- Examinees are allowed to have a backup calculator if necessary.

4. Launching the Exam:
The proctor will launch your exam. Remain at the waiting area and wait for the proctor to call your name once they have successfully completed the launching of your exam.
5. During the Exam:
You are given 4 hours and 18 minutes to complete the exam. If a technical issue arises, you may call the attention of the proctor to assist. Submit your exam once you are done. When the time is over, the system will automatically stop.

- You will have a 165 multiple choice questions exam offered in English only. CSSBB examination is a one-part, 165-question exam, and is offered in English only 150 questions are scored and 15 are unscored.
- The total appointment time is four-and-a-half hours, and the exam time is 4 hours and 18 minutes. Out of 165 MCQ, 150 questions are scored and 15 are unscored.

Six Sigma Green Belt Exam Details:

- You will have a 110 multiple choice questions exam offered in English only.
- 100 questions are scored and 10 are unscored. The total appointment time is four-and-a-half hours, exam time is 4 hours and 18 minutes.

6. After Exam:

- Six Sigma Exam Results: Upon completion of the computer-based examination, you will receive an email from Prometric with your test results.
- Either pass or fail will show on your screen.
- Claim your materials and leave the Prometric Centre.
