The ASQ offers two ways to take the ASQ Certification Examinations. You can either choose to take the Examination in a Prometric Testing Center or take it as a Remote Proctored Exam.

Remote Proctored ASQ CMQ/OE Exam
By choosing the Remote Proctored ASQ CMQ/OE Exam option you need to prepare the following device, learning resources, and venue of your exam:
1. Laptop or desktop computer with movable camera and microphone.
2. Strong Internet connection, and ASQ Exam Confirmation Appointment Number which contains 16 numbers. This confirmation number is usually sent right after you have successfully scheduled the exam.
3. CMQ Reference Resources – All reference materials (i.e. including all forms of notes) must be bound and remain bound during the exam. (Bound refers to material permanently bound by stitching or glue and material fastened securely in its cover by fasteners, which penetrate all papers).
4. Environmental Requirement:
Your office or home setting must meet the following requirements:

- The testing location must be indoors (walled), well-lit, with a closed door, and free from background noise and disruptions.
- No third party can be present in the room or enter the room for the duration of the exam. If this occurs, your exam will be terminated and/or your results invalidated.
- Your workstation and surrounding area must be free of pens, paper, electronic devices, I.e., No content that could potentially provide an unfair advantage during your exam.
- That posted on walls or within your immediate area, will be present during your exam session.
- Two tissues are permitted at the workstation but must be inspected by the Proctor prior to the start of the exam.
A. Before Taking Apply The Exam:
1. System Readiness Check:
A system readiness check of your computer will take place to make sure it is fully compatible with the ProProctor application. This is one of the important steps to do before you launch your ASQ CMQ/OE Exam. The following needs to be tested.

2. Download and Install The ProProctor Remote Assessment Solution: The ProProctor platform is integrated with the Prometric Assessment System.
3. Launch Your Exam: It requires you to enter your appointment confirmation number and your surname to find and launch your proctored exam. Click here to launch your exam.
Note: You need to be online at least 15 minutes before your exam appointment.
Now that you have launched your exam, it is time for the checking procedures. The following are necessary steps:
1. Image Identity Capturing
2. Verification of IDs
3. Rules and Regulations Compliance Awareness
Note: If you do not wish to be recorded (either by video or audio), it means you are not willing to proceed with the exam. Please notify your proctor immediately.
Now that you have agreed with all the terms and conditions the following are the next steps:
Your Readiness:
1. Your readiness agent will confirm your name, address, and exam details with you via video chat.
2. Your readiness agent will ask you about your IDs. (Government-issued photo & signature bearing identification is required in order to take the exam). Validity and the number of acceptable IDs are predetermined by your test sponsor.
3. Your Readiness agent will ask you to provide a 360º view of your environment using your webcam. Your agent will also ask you to scan your work surface using your webcam. All exams are continuously monitored by video and audio recording.
B. During Your Examination:
Avoid exhibiting prohibited behaviors and holding prohibited items during your exam. What are the prohibited items and behaviors? While taking your remote proctored exam?

- Changing location while testing
- Turning off lighting or audio
- Speaking to or receiving aid from other individuals is strictly prohibited.
- Unauthorized personal items may not be accessible while testing. Examples are hats, food, drinks, purses, bags or briefcases, notebooks, watches, cell phones, electronic devices, or wearable technology.
- Eating, drinking, smoking and chewing gum
- Written notes, published materials, and other testing aids.
- Light clothing items removed for comfort such as sweaters, suit jackets, scarves, etc., must be hung on the examinee’s chair, not placed in laps or on the workstation desktop.
