To schedule your CMQ examination, refer to the Seating Information email of ASQ containing your Eligibility ID sent to you. The Eligibility ID and the first four characters of your last name are important in scheduling your appointment. Refer to Figure 1 below.
As per ASQ, your eligibility ID is valid for 150 days starting with the exam window you selected during the application process. For example, If you selected the July 2021 Exam window during the exam application, the Eligibility ID will be valid from July until December 2021.
If you fail to schedule your CMQ exam appointment within its validity, your fees will be forfeited, and ASQ will not consider a refund. If you still want to gain the certification, you need to submit a new application again and pay all associated fees again.
While scheduling your CMQ examination, you are given two testing options:-
Testing Options:

- Remote Proctoring (Online) – If you prefer this option, it is required that you must have a reliable internet connection. A live person will monitor your activity through a web camera and provide the required instruction during the exam.

- Prometric Test Center – The advantage of taking the exam from a testing center is it provides you with a smooth examination process with no hassle. There is an assigned proctor to launch your exam and assist you. If you wish to go with this option, please book as soon as possible.

Let us now proceed to schedule your CMQ/OE exam:
1. Go to the Prometric Page to schedule the time and date for when you will be taking your exam. Figure 2 will show two different administration choices in selecting the venue of your exam.
2. Select your choice between the test center and remotely proctored Exam, Then click ‘Schedule’. (once the policies regarding scheduling the exam have been loaded, please read them thoroughly in order to be guided properly.)
3. Enter The Eligibility ID and 1st Four Characters Of Your Last Name: The eligibility ID is the number unique to the ASQ candidate, and can only be used once (underline once) in scheduling your CMQ examination. For this reason, entering another used eligibility ID will be declared invalid.
4. Select The Time Zone:

- For The Remote Proctored Exam, in scheduling your CMQ exam, you need to select the time zone. Figure 4 shows one example. If you chose the Prometric exam center, skip this and refer to Figure 5.

- Test Center – Type the location of your testing center Example, Dubai, UAE, and enter the dates as well. Figure 5 displays the webpage for the test center option while figure 6 displays the webpage for the Remote Proctored Exam. Please refer to Figure 6.

5. Schedule Your Exam:
There are 6 exam windows each year. If you applied for the July Exam Window during the exam application process, you may book your CMQ exam in the month of July, September, November, or in January. The exam windows for CMQ are “Odd-month Exams”. Select which exam window that suits you best.

At Prometric Center: Enter your desired date, or select the 2 weeks range from the calendar to load the available dates. If the selected date does not show, it means that it is no longer available. Hence, you can only select the dates which are displayed on the calendar. The site will display on-screen the available dates from not only the testing center in your location but other branches within and nearby your country.
Remote Proctored Exam: Select your preferred timing. In Figure 7, it shows different schedules and if you notice, though are intervals of 15 mins in all timings, these dates and timings are changed.
6. Verify Your Personal Details: The First and Last Name should match the name on the Identification you plan to present during the identity verification whether at the testing center or online. Please include your mobile number too.
7. Complete Your Appointment: This is the step that confirms your appointment. ASQ will send you a confirmation email with an appointment summary of your CMQ exam schedule along with the important guidelines in taking the examination such as security procedures, identification policy, and references that are allowed to use during the exam. Figure 9, it shows you the appointment summary of your scheduled CMQ exam.
Please keep the Confirmation Number with you. This is important in launching your examination. Print a copy and bring it with you if you scheduled your CMQ exam at the Prometric center.

For some unavoidable reasons, delegates tend to change their exam appointment or cancel the exam or wish to ask for a refund, please read the following for your better understanding of the ASQ rules:

- Appointment Reschedule/Cancellation: To change your CMQ exam appointment date or time, ASQ is giving you at least 5 days prior to the appointment. There is a $130 fee for changing an appointment.

- Request for Refund: This request can be granted to those who have canceled their exam appointment with Prometric or for those who have not scheduled their exam appointment. You may contact the ASQ Certification Department at cert@asq.org.
The request must be sent no later than the last day of the Eligibility period, or else the request will be declined. There is a corresponding fee for this request, ASQ will deduct $130 from the payment of your exam fees.
In case you want to consider re-applying for an exam after canceling the previous exam appointment ASQ will still accept it. You may submit a new application and pay the full cost of the CMQ exam application.
